A Life Lesson from Cinderella

cindycleanWhen I think of my post below titled; Sing through the Pain, I think of Cinderella and how her life was before her happily ever after life began. She was mistreated and disrespected. Her stepmother treated her like a servant. She was not purposed for this sorrowful life of constant chores and no pleasure. But she was beautiful inside and out and she chose to find joy in the midst of bad circumstances. She would sing as she did chores all day long and singing filled her heart with joy and entertained her mind as she went about working and doing good deeds without complaining. Her step mother and step sisters might have been able to keep some nice things and privileges away from her, but they could not take her beauty or her joy. Brothers and sisters in Christ, I want to remind you that when enduring hard times or unpleasant circumstances, the enemy (aka Satan; aka the devil) can not steal our joy, peace, God’s love for us or our beauty. We are made in our heavenly father’s image and no struggles in life can steal our heavenly heritage. So today, as you face struggles in life that give you the desire to complain, remember Cinderella and sing through the work and struggles of life because when we are joyful and have a heart of gratitude, good things will come our way. Cinderella married the prince and with that came many blessings. Let’s learn from her positive outlook and enjoy life and live it to the fullest!

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
